I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location on a beautiful beach with brown wet sand was absolutely stunning. The hotel is nestled in the dry forest, giving it a unique and tranquil atmosphere. The service provided by the staff was impeccable - they were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room amenities, including tea and coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV, added an extra touch of luxury to my stay. Additionally, the dining options were excellent, with a delicious restaurant offering both dinner and breakfast. The leisure facilities, including a swimming pool, were well-maintained and provided the perfect opportunity for relaxation. I also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and convenient car park. this place provided enhanced comfort and quality services, making it an ideal choice for a luxurious beach getaway.
I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Location: a short ride from Liberia International, however, to a relatively undeveloped part of Guanacaste. Hence, you may need a car while going places, unless you don't mind a 30-min walk to Playa Hermosa (restaurants, shops). Staff: very friendly and helpful. Rooms: spacious, adequately furnished and decorated, with kitchenette and balcony. Amenities are minimalistic. Restaurant: a very good breakfast; good-quality cooking overall. An all-inclusive guest may work through the menu in 4-5 days, but it could be an enjoyable journey. Beach: private, seclusive, shaded by trees. The tides are high, though, so the water gets murky and the beach shrinks to nothingness. One may consider walking (approx 10 min) to a broader sandbar. The bay coast offers exellent hiking grounds during the low-water hours. Bottom line: the place is great as a 'base camp', i.e., for spending your time somewhere else and coming back for a good night sleep, then starting new day with a good breakfast. There is a plenty of competitively priced tours. We did our homework before coming to the place, then opted for hotel's help in finding a tour operator, and never regretted it.

The hotel is a medium scaled resort very well located. So it guaranteed what we were looking for, silence and relaxation. The room is very big and has all the necessary confort. The small kitchenette is handy. From the terrace you can spot beautiful birds, monkeys, squirrels, iguana'S. The hotel is located at Panama beach which makes it possibel to make a lovely walk at low-tide. As there are limited customers , the swimming pool is always a nice place to stay and just big enough to do some swimming (15 meters long). The hotelstaff is friendly and helpful. The best option is to have a car as the hotel is remote . First shop at 3 km. The hotel is a good choice if you want a good starting point for trips .
When you book on Booked.net, the confirmation refers to Monarch hotel and not to Vista Bahia Beach resort. In fact no-one knows the new name. As the hotel is not signposted, it is hard to find the location (it took us 45 minutes). Finaly asking for Monarch hotel, we could become the right directions. Disappointing was the breakfast (included). You have three choices on the menucard, continental, americano, typical. Only when the hotel has enough customers, they switch to buffet, but also then, no variation, small quantities. The menu card for the restaurant is also very limited in choices.

Near to Liberia airport and conveniently close to the beach. Food was great and I would imagine the best value for money in the area.

The location is great for those wanting a serene and quiet getaway. the free kayaking is definitely a plus. the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The food options were limited and on the expensive side. the shower and bathroom need some maintenance work.

The owner James was very accommodating, helping us download maps from map quest. The staff in general were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was also very good. The grounds are beautifully kept with a nice private beach.
This hotel has recently changed its name and it was difficult to find. Units are spread out over a hill top and cars are not allowed into the lodging area. You need to rely on their golf carts. Town with restraunts are 10-15 min away, would have liked something closer.

The hotel is close to liberia airport and it is on a calm bay. We woke up, went Booked.neting (included for free with the room!), ate a very good and leisurely breakfast (also included), and we had no stress making our 1pm flight the same day!
The staff is more than happy (and prompt) to shuttle guests between the rooms and the main lodge where they have the restaurant, pool, and on- site parking. If you prefer to walk, it is about a quarter mile. We were surprised to find that the walk went fast and was rather enjoyable after all.

Best Relaxing Getaway in Central America!
The restaurant was excellent, but a bit pricey. Plus, the breakfast options were limited, and there were additional charges for waffles or pancakes.

I had an amazing time at Vista Bahia Beach Resort! The location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the water and the sound of beautiful exotic birds right outside my balcony. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet, providing the perfect retreat. The staff was incredibly hospitable and always available to assist. The meals prepared by the chef were the best I had throughout my entire trip, especially the catch of the day specials. The private beach was relaxing and ideal for snorkeling. The use of kayaks and snorkeling gear for free was a great bonus. The breakfast included in the price was delicious, especially the traditional Costa Rican breakfast. The bar/restaurant area had a wonderful tropical atmosphere. I highly recommend this resort for its friendly atmosphere, authentic experience, and magnificent natural surroundings. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, I would definitely return and stay longer next time. I highly recommend this resort for its friendly atmosphere, authentic experience, and magnificent natural surroundings.

We loved the hotel's location close to the airport and near amazing sites in the dry forest of Guancaste. Its trail led us to clean beaches, including the private Playa Playita that had 11 lounge chairs. The spacious room, large bathroom, and comfortable beds in this hotel were impressive. The restaurant staff were friendly, and the dinner and breakfast service was excellent.
Nothing that we didn't like.

Our recent family vacation was truly great! the hotel is in a convenient location close to the Liberia airport and on a very nice beach. Our room was spacious and always kept clean, with a nice bathroom. the staff was always very friendly and helpful, offering us guidance on nearby beaches and local supermarkets. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the beautiful view of iguanas, monkeys and various bird species. the private beach was amazing and we had a lot of fun kayaking. the facilities, such as the restaurant and reception area, were top-notch.
The limited bar selection, with only a few options of beer, rum and tequila.
